All construction projects should be inspected at least once a day. This will ensure that the quality of the structure is up to standards and that the work is being done properly. An inspection is especially important when pouring concrete. There are a number of checks that should be performed to record the process and make sure that quality control measures are followed.
The inspection of concrete can be performed in three stages; pre-placement, during placement and post-placement. It will be beneficial to the contractor and the client if these steps are recorded and supervised. This will minimise any discrepancies during billing and the completion of work.
The following inspection checklists can be used to measure the volume of concrete used and to ensure that everything is in order before, during and after pouring concrete.
